Where to begin...at the end of the video I'd say because that's where I feel most reflective when it comes to 2025 - the sad and unexpected loss of the wonderfully inspiring and influential Mr Quentin Willson - he gets the last word here as well as a moment with him last summer at The Octopus Energy Tech Summit in London's Battersea Park.I first met Quentin at Virgin Cars back in 2000 - a moment where my career path was uncertain having just jumped out of a steady well paid job with Audi into the unknown world of a start-up. Mr Willson reassured me I'd done the right thing...championing challenge and change as he did back then and continued to do so of course. The past 25 years spent taking risks and now doing what I do best everyday for a living - truly have their foundation in his personal encouragement and friendship.I also wished to honor my friend Prof Colin Herron CBE for his lifetime contribution to the automotive industry - he retired this year as you'll soon see him explain in the video. I had the humbling experience of seeing how loved Colin is by many people at The People's Kitchen in Newcastle when I popped in with him one the eve of Battery Britain's Northeast event. 🏁 And F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel, in describing what his race career had meant to him, wonderfully described how I feel about 'the moments and memories' that my own career and my 67th orbit around the sun have brought me...So, in that regard, I would especially like to acknowledge the following for choosing to employ my services these past 12 months:-THANK YOU Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, MIRA Tech Park,Eurelectric, Nordic EV Summit, Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit Global (EVIS), Event Partners Ltd, Informa Markets in Asia, Messe Muenchen, DataArt, and A.P.
